The Moody Renovation

Our client's home initially presented a traditional, heavy aesthetic, characterized by simple bookcases and dated spaces. The upstairs, in particular, had a confined, closet-like feel that was yearning for a breath of fresh air. The house also included an unfinished basement and a recent addition, both of which needed our creative touch to become lively, usable spaces. 

The objective? To refresh the current space while retaining its traditional charm, but infusing it with a modern, contemporary touch. A tall order, but one we were excited to take on. 

Our first step was to open up the entire upstairs, transforming it from a cramped area into an open concept space that breathes easy.  In the office, we added a custom desk with a stunning quartzite panel that serves as a focal point. This piece marries functionality and style, bringing a unique blend of the modern and traditional right at the heart of the workspace. The bathroom was given a similar treatment, with a design that blends timeless elegance with contemporary sensibilities. It's now a space that invites relaxation and tranquility. The entryway was not left behind. 

This project was a labor of love, a delicate dance between the old and the new. We're proud of the result - a home that retains its traditional roots while confidently embracing the modern feel.
